Aircraft Services Technician (Entry-level)

Do you enjoy fixing things like cars and bikes, or working on home renovations? The Aircraft Services Technician (AST) position is well suited for someone who shows strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with their hands. This hands-on role is responsible for the removal, inspection and repair of aircraft interior components including seats, trims, carpet, sound proofing, lighting, cabinetry, galleys and bins.

Mohawk College Centre for Aviation Technology

Attached to the KF Aerospace Hamilton base, this state of the art 75,000-square-foot Mohawk College campus offers students an exciting education airside! The 3-storey facility provides students with modern labs, shops, training aids, classrooms and access to nearly 20 aircraft. All three trade programs are available: Structural, Mechanical and Avionics.

The Mohawk and KF Aerospace buildings are connected by common areas, allowing students to gain hands-on experience, working side-by-side with certified technicians and experiential learning opportunities in a hangar adjacent to their classes and labs.

Okanagan College

KF Aerospace has been partnered with Okanagan College for over 20 years to provide the AME Structures program on-site at our Kelowna headquarters! Okanagan College offers a 37-week apprenticeship program for AME-Structures at KF Aerospace’s facility in Kelowna. Graduates are often hired by KF Aerospace immediately following completion of the program.

Manitoba is home to the third largest aerospace sector in Canada – and Red River College Polytechnic’s Stevenson Campus is an active partner, training the workforce to participate in all aspects of the aviation and aerospace sector.

Hangar Support & Tool Counter

Do you provide great customer service and have experience in the retail, food, or beverage industry? Bring these skills to our Hangar Support position! Hangar Support consists of three roles: Customer Support, Materials Support and Production Support. Each employee starts as Customer Support but can be cross trained in all three positions to determine the best fit.

The Customer Support role is team-oriented and requires a collaborative attitude. Teams average between 8-10 people and serve our internal customers. You will need moderate computer skills and a willingness to learn the company-based systems.
